When combined with a fiery work ethic, ambition is a rocket fuel that propels go-getters into the stratosphere. Model Chloë Li has ambition to spare, hammering out multiple photo shoots like a home-run hitter on a streak. After our early morning session with Chloë, I can testify that she has the discipline and professionalism to succeed. Not only is she easy to work with, she’s easy on the eyes: Chloë Li has a pretty face, svelte figure and legs for days. She’s been busy deepening her portfolio so I’m fortunate that Chloë was able to squeeze in a shoot for The Spizzy and my upcoming print/digital magazine, Killer Gams™. She’s become a sought-after commodity amongst photographers, so it’s great to catch her in the early stages of a blossoming career.
Chloë stands at 5’7, a good modeling height. She has the long, sexy stems to properly showcase the Fiore tights I chose for this photo set. They fit her like a glove and she rocked the hell out of ‘em. Chloë exudes a relaxed charm that adds to her appeal. Black Pacino: Why did you enter the modeling game?
Chloë Li: I’ve always been intrigued by the industry but a bad experience a long time ago scarred me for 7 years. I also used to have really bad confidence like really bad. I thought if I modeled I’d break the camera lens just with a click. However, over many years and people telling me I’m crazy to think that, I finally decided to give it a try in the end of May 2013 at a Fashion Runway Show… and all Fashion Photographers loved me and I received a lot of great feedback. The show was only supposed to help out a friend’s friend and be a one-time thing but quickly a line a photographers wanted to shoot with me, so I thought they must see something I don’t. So here I am.
Pacino: Aside from modeling, what are some of your other interests & career goals?
Chloë: Aside from modeling I love meeting new people, traveling to new places, living new experiences. I LOVE music… listening, watching it, creating it and anything that has to do with it. My original life-long goal was to be able to start a company and be able to do business globally from the U.S. to China but I’m already doing that. I think different from most; I’m not really into all that fortune and fame. I do everything I do from inspiration and my goal is to inspire. Ultimately I want to be able to combine everything I love into one big fireball of passion. That’s when magic happens.
Pacino: When it comes to men, what are your turn-ons & turn-offs?
Chloë: I don’t really use the words turn-ons or turn offs but I like men that are somewhat traditional, a gentleman… someone that’s masculine like he doesn’t need to flaunt it you just know. Someone that’s in control but not controlling, someone that’s protective but not overly protective… and last but not least, the ability to make me smile naturally.
Pacino: What’s the worst pick-up line you’ve ever heard?
Chloë: “I lost my phone, can I get your number?”
What? It’s like how does that even make sense? And even if you had my number, how will you even call me? I walked away.
Pacino: If you could do a photo shoot with one celebrity, who would it be & why?
Chloë: (Gasps) Jeremy Lin. (Laughs) He’s the reason why I got back into watching basketball and the Knicks. Even though he went away to Houston I know his heart is still in New York.
Pacino: What kind of music do you listen to? Who are some of your favorite artists?
Chloë: I love Hip-hop, R&B, Pop, Country, Rock, Top 40, Chinese Pop, Korean R&B and Spanish Reggaeton.
Pacino: Where do you envision yourself in 5 years?
Chloë: I have no idea. It can go a few different directions but I imagine everything to falls into place the way it’s supposed to.
